Sullivan Entertainment is a proud supporter of causes that help to make a difference. Sullivan is inspired by organizations that reflect the nature and story of Anne of Green Gables. Currently Sullivan is actively involved and engaged in three well known and worthy groups: Dignitas International, amfAR and Free The Children. These groups all work towards making a difference in underprivileged communities. Sullivan takes pride in contributing to organizations that focus on making the world a better place, one life at a time.
Dignitas International
Dignitas International is a medical humanitarian organization that is responding to the AIDS epidemic. AIDS has claimed more lives than any other epidemic and in 24 hours alone 5700 more people die each day. A group of health experts founded Dignitas as a way to research and provide assistance to those affected by HIV/AIDS. Dignitas established its first project in Zomba District, Malawi in 2004 and has implemented community based care programs there. Working directly in an affected community helps the group learn how to evaluate and improve these programs.
Free The Children
Free The Children is the world's largest network of children helping children through education, with more than one million youth involved in our innovative education and development programs in 45 countries. Founded in 1995 by international child rights activist Craig Kielburger, Free The Children has a proven track record of success. The organization has received the World's Children's Prize for the Rights of the Child (also known as the Children's Nobel Prize), the Human Rights Award from the World Association of Non-Governmental Organizations, and has formed successful partnerships with leading school boards and Oprah's Angel Network.
amfAR
Founded in 1985, amfAR is dedicated to ending the global AIDS epidemic through innovative research. With the freedom and flexibility to respond quickly to emerging areas of scientific promise, amfAR plays a catalytic role in accelerating the pace of HIV/AIDS research and achieving real breakthroughs. amfAR-funded research has increased our understanding of HIV and has helped lay the groundwork for major advances in the study and treatment of HIV/AIDS. Since 1985, amfAR has invested nearly $290 million in its mission and has awarded grants to more than 2,000 research teams worldwide.
