Biography

Kevin Sullivan’s films have been praised for their visual beauty, their strong story-telling and fine acting; through which they weave their unique spell. His richly detailed, pastoral masterpiece "Anne of Green Gables", that he produced, wrote and directed in 1985 and the subsequent 91 episode television series “Road to Avonlea” established the reputation of his company, Sullivan Entertainment. Throughout his work he has established a strong brand based on visual style, quality of writing and a series of outstanding performances which span the breadth of his Filmography.

Sullivan’s stature as a producer of on-budget, prestigious entertainment has attracted international investors and stars to his films. His fans enjoy the charm, authenticity and attention to detail of all of his films. In US film schools, “Anne of Green Gables” is still studied as a model of TV drama with multi-generational, multi-cultural appeal.

His love of photography began as an undergraduate at the University of Toronto, Canada where he graduated in 1979 with Bachelor of Science in Biology. During this time he also pursued an interest in Art History and Baroque Architecture and spent several months pursuing field studies in Austria and Bavaria; specifically photographing and studying many of the countries’ most sumptuous churches, palaces and monasteries. This interest in the 18th century most recently inspired his desire to create a very personal contemporary feature film of Mozart’s classic opera "The Magic Flute", entitled "Magic Flute Diaries".
