Dryad (see picture above) is a wood nymph with many different sides. The teenager, who is actually the size of a small boy, is Anne’s link to the world of fairies and elves. Living in a hollow tree close to Green Gables, Dryad gets to know Anne pretty well, though he only tolerates Diana’s presence and doesn’t hide his less-than-kind feelings towards Gilbert. Although Dryad can be pretty selfish at times, he often knows more than you would expect!
Mr. Gresham could be called the happiest man in Avonlea. Though he is the town’s minister and a very good man, you’ll be hard pressed to find a moment when Mr. Gresham isn’t laughing at his own jokes! People find it hard to get a word in edgewise when Mr. Gresham’s around.
Katie Maurice is Anne’s reflection in the mirror, but she is nothing like Anne. You’ll often catch Katie giving Anne the wrong advice – and enjoying every aspect of the outcome! She can be manipulative and bored, but always relies on Anne being the one to take the fall.
