It turns out that actor Richard Farnsworth was perhaps closer in temperament to the character he played than many actors ever actually are.
In this never-before-seen interview with Megan Follows, Richard reveals a truly modest and sweet nature as he answers her questions about his 40-year career as a stuntman in Western movies, his past work with Colleen Dewhurst and his promise to Megan that she will go horseback riding with his grandson on his estate. His self-deprecating humour and fondness for Megan comes forth in the following clip, in much the same way that Matthew’s shy love of Anne is evoked in all of his scenes.
