Follows is currently filming a short film entitled Where are the Dolls, inspired by the eponymous poem by Elizabeth Bishop. According to the film's Facebook page, it stars Follows as "a woman on a feverish, late-night journey through an unfamiliar urban landscape, searching for something she cannot name."
Bishop lived from 1911-1979, and won the Pulitzer Prize for poetry in 1956. Her work often included very precise detail, but expressed a sense of longing and grief. She was not as prolific as other poets, as she spent considerable amounts of time honing and editing her work. You can read her poem "One Art" here.
Where are the Dolls began shooting in Toronto last week, and is expected to be finished by December 2011. You can learn more about the project here.
