These include Magic Island: The Fictions of L.M. Montgomery, The Selected Journals of L.M. Montgomery, Volume II: 19101-1921, Rainbow Valley, Rilla of Ingleside and The Blythes Are Quoted – all by January 28th!
The blogger has already read the entire Anne series but once was not enough for her. She wishes to return to the landscapes of Montgomery’s imagination and wants her followers to do the same. She writes, “It is a delight to revisit her works and challenge you to either make your first visit, or perhaps visit with some of your old Montgomery friends like Anne, Emily, Jane or Pat.”
I thought it would be fun to see how many of our readers are also planning on revisiting Montgomery’s works, starting new ones, or hosting their own book club or reading challenge. If you are, please post your comment below – let us know what you’re reading and why, and any other details you wish to share!
If you’re wondering where you can find the entire Anne series of novels, as well as Montgomery’s journals and other specialty books about Anne and her author, take a look at Shop At Sullivan’s selection– click here!
L.M. Montgomery's Reading Circle
Holding your own Lucy Maud Montgomery reading challenge seems to be a popular past-time across a wide scope of literary blogs. I just stumbled across the blog “Reading to Know”, for example, and its author has challenged herself to read quite a substantial number of Montgomery-related books.

Well, I finished Anne's House of Dreams and it was probably one of my favorites thus far. It takes you through a roller coaster of emotions and I love that these are characters that you connect with. Here's to Anne of Ingleside!

I'm 31 yrs. old and was just introduced to L.M. Montgomery last year through Anne of Green Gables. I didn't grow up with the series, and I seriously feel a little cheated that I experienced a childhood not knowing that a fictional friend like Anne existed. :) I'm reading through the books for the first time. Just finished book 4 this evening and looking forward to diving into Anne's House of Dreams tomorrow.

I just stumbled across your site because I'm participating in the challenge at Reading to Know and am looking for a specific book online. This is the 3rd year Carrie has hosted the site. Your readers may be interested in reading her thoughts on Montgomery as well as the thoughts of others who participate in the challenge. You can find all those links at http://www.readingtoknow.com/2011/01/lucy-maud-montgomery-reading-challenge.html Thanks for highlighting a great blogger!
