Having a soiree this weekend?
You could try out this popular Edwardian game, Alliteration Alphabet.
Or should we say: Alluring Alliteration Alphabet amuses all able amateurs!

Alliteration Alphabet
This is a popular game that has many variations of play. The first method is to have the guests try to carry on a normal conversation by each saying a sentence that has a minimum of five words. The key is that each sentence must be a complete alliteration and must be of the next letter of the alphatbet. For example, Emily could successfully begin by saying, "Anne absolutely adored Averil's Atonement." Then Felicity would continue by declaring, "But bits bored the Barrys." Felicity would get one strike for not using at least 5 words. Fred would continue alphabetically by stating, "The Barry clan complained of cloying, complicated communique." Fred gets one strike for using "Barry" since it does not begin with the letter 'C.' When a player gets three strikes they are out of the game, and the winner is the last player remaining.
