How is my Grandma/Mom important to me? Well that's easy. To start off she adopted me when I was 28 months old and I am 10 years old now. She in my blood related Grandma, but in the state of Florida she is my Mom by law. Since then my Grandma and Grandpa have raised me. I think they are doing a tremendous job at it.

Its not something you hear a lot about, but it does happen; bullying.

From the time we are children, to even the time we are adults, bullying happens throughout out our lives. It can be an absolute nightmare in some cases and for the most part, many people who do get bullied never talk about it.

One of the episodes, Anne’s New Home is about Anne’s determination to feel loved, welcomed and cared for. It’s like any child in any home; they look for happiness and want to be loved. For many children these days, living with separated parents is a very common thing. For the most part, it takes a huge toll on the children then anyone else in the family. Only because two of the most important people in their lives are not in the same house hold together again more. However, for Anne this was not the case, only because she was an orphan. Though at the same time she still had those feelings that every child felt after being torn apart from something they love.

So during this episode it identifies emotional awareness, the ability to handle feelings, and identify consequences. Anne agreed to do anything in her power to live with people who would love her. So she promised to be obedient, say her prayers, go to school and do chores. Marilla, her care taker made sure Anne was well disciplined. But there were times that Anne by mistake did do things Marilla didn’t care for. For example in this episode Marilla was not very pleased with Anne. Anne was doing one of chores one afternoon and getting all the eggs into one basket, where she placed neatly above the woodpile outside.

The next morning Marilla noticed that there was no more wood left in the house, so she went outside to get some wood. Although she didn’t notice that the egg basket was above her head. So when Marilla stood up, her head hit the shelf and the entire basket of eggs tumbled onto her head. Marilla was not happy and Anne had to deal with the consequences. But by the end of the episode it’s about learning important lessons along the way.

For about a month now Anne of Green Gables the Animated series has been airing on PBS across the U.S. The animated series consists of 26 episodes that are geared towards children between the ages of 4-9. These episodes deal with a specific educational theme that children can relate to.
