Kelly Ripa’s interpretation of Anne of Green Gables has been the talk of twitter and Anne fans worldwide. In Tuesday’s airing of Live! with Regis and Kelly, the talk show duo paid tribute to Lucy Maud Montgomery and Sullivan Entertainment with their own version of the classic, “Kelly Anne of Green Gables".
In the clip, Kelly Anne with an E, who spells it that way because it’s more “exotic”, is in desperate search for a “bosom” friend. The video stars Ripa’s husband, Mark Consuelos, as the dashing Gilbert, Live! producer Michael Gelman as Moody Surgeon and Art Moore as Diana, in this amusing spoof that incorporates three-legged races, Marilla’s raspberry cordial and strolls in Lover’s Lane.

It was entertaining I found, yes I think it was bit over the top. and I thnk Kelly should have gotten rid of the voice she was useing for Anne. but come on guys it was just a silly litte spoof no harm done I think.

Ripa deserves a good ripping for her shameful parody of Anne. Her portrayal of the endearing and timeless Anne was tasteless. Ripa looked like a talking scarecrow. And Anne was never the hussy Ripa played. Shame on her!
