The pair said their farewells in today’s final broadcast, which included many thanks for all the Canadian hospitality they received.

Ripa said that she and husband Mark Consuelos are already planning a return trip to the island, while Philbin said how grateful they were for the warm welcome they received.  “Honest to God we really are taken by Prince Edward Island, and all of you for being so hospitable,” he said.

The final show began with two CF-18 fighter planes saluting the show’s cheerful crowd and was followed by a “beach bash” with guests John Corbett (Sex and the City), Elisha Cuthbert (24) and the band OneRepublic.
