A recent article about the Savage family written for yourhome.ca discussed what each of the talented family members are up to now. And it revealed how Tyrone’s artistic side would have been nourished.
His mother, who teaches on-camera acting at Humber College, has appeared in such series as The Beachcombers, M.V.P., This is Wonderland, and the feature films The Stone Angel, as well as Kevin Sullivan’s Anne of Green Gables: The Continuing Story (she played the role of Maud Montrose). She also directed Menopositive: The Musical!
Her husband, Booth Savage, is both an actor and writer. He appeared in the CBC miniseries Canada Russia ’72 as the coach of Team Canada, Harry Sinden. Currently, he is working on making a series that is somewhat based on The Last of the Mohicans.
And Tyrone himself is still continuing his acting career, with his recent acceptance into the Birmingham Conservatory for Classical Theatre in Stratford. It is a prep school for young actors who want to be trained in the classical theatre and Tyrone says that he will be in the 2011 Stratford Company.
We will keep you posted about Tyrone’s upcoming roles at Stratford!
