PEI’s Harbourfront Threatre production, Anne & Gilbert, is coming to the island’s historic Green Gables on Wednesday, Aug. 10.  This play was inspired by the sequel novels to Anne of Green Gables and visitors to the house will get to see one of the its main musical numbers, “Island Through and Through”.

The piece will be performed by all 27 members of the cast, as well as its orchestra, on the grounds outside Green Gables.  And though it will begin at 1 p.m., visitors are allowed to come early so that they can see the musicians, actors and the crew set up for the performance.  Afterwards, the audience will have a chance to meet the actors and get to know more about the play.

This is just one of the many activities available to people visiting Green Gables throughout the summer months.  Visitors can also take part in guided tours, old fashioned picnics, games and races, as well as craft and farm chore demonstrations.
