In this behind-the-scenes look at the restoring of Anne of Green Gables, post-production supervisor Dan Matthews explains the process of re-mastering Anne. Kevin Sullivan originally intended the series to be a feature film, he says. And so the digital restoration, which included the removal of grain and heightening of both color and sound, has given the series a fresh cinematic quality with enhanced detail.
“Comparing this to the original Anne really is apple and oranges,” Matthews says.
