Christiane has a very interesting background, as the daughter of the famous German movie star, Hardy Krüger.  Hardy was cast in such films as A Bridge Too Far, Hatari! (with John Wayne) and Stanley Kubrick’s Barry Lyndon. He was nominated for a Golden Globe for his supporting role in 1965’s The Flight of the Phoenix.

Christiane was born in Hamburg, Germany in 1945, just four months after V-E Day.  She has appeared mostly in German-language films and television series, and Anne of Green Gables was one of her first English-language films.
