Have you ever used Anne dialogue?
Description:
Do you ever catch yourself using an Anne phrase? I used to use her sayings all of the time in my college papers, and even when I was married, I wrote my entire ceremony, and much of it was traced back to Anne.

I am sure we all have, so share them with us!

Oh my gosh I just noticed the quote on the group picture... I definately use that one but usually when Im being mean and making fun of people being dramatic over a small injury. Thats misappropriation of great language! LOL. Im awful ;)

I love the language of Anne but people tend to look at me really strangely. I find that I think like Anne but speak like a gossip girl. LOL. Though Ive managed to work kindred spirits and scope for the imagination into things recently. :)

I throw around quotes from a lot of movies. If someone asks for a tip on how to do something I tell them not to brush their teeth with a brick. ;) I also like to throw around Its a Wonderful Life quotes.

I throw around quotes from all sorts of movies as well, lol. I love it!

I remember once, when I was debating, this guy just would not stop and they were not stopping him, and I am unsure why. So, after we were done (and we won, haha, lol) we were leaving and he was saying something rude quite loudly. I turned and said, "Don't give yourself airs, you are in a class entirely by yourself." And I said it just like Anne, haha. Everyone was like, "Ooooo...." It was funny, because it isn't that big of a cutdown, but it did the job that time! ;)

lol :) Would have been fun to see that. I always seem to think of things like that afterwards... always too late. :)

Normally I do as well, but that time it popped right into my mind and rolled right off the tongue perfectly! I'll never forget it, lol!

When I tend to be a bit dramatic, I use "My life is a perfect graveyard of buried hopes". :p
RillaBlytheRillaBlythe on Friday, 18 June 2010 01:42

I also often end comments with "That's what"...like Mrs. Lynde and I say "I solemnly swear for as long as the sun and the moon shall endure" a lot. :p

I also say that things are "bully" a lot... but that comes from having kittens named Davy and Dora. ;)

CheleChele on Friday, 18 June 2010 11:39

I tried to use the "My life is a perfect graveyard of buried hopes." and my husband just burst out laughing and said I was too dramatic for my own good. Lol.

CheleChele on Friday, 18 June 2010 11:40

I love this one, I forgot about it!!!! :/ "I solemnly swear for as long as the sun and the moon shall endure."
