Reading up on 1930s style, we found this feature on the popularity of pajamas in the early 1930s. Pajamas for everyday wear? This is a style we could get behind!

"The Pyjama, once a novelty, is now an established mode...an essential part of the smart woman's wardrobe. Sleeping pyjama, lounding pyjama, Lido pyjama are all alike definitely accepted articles of informal apparel."

George Woodbine for the Daily Herald 1931
"The pyjama (not, as now, a term merely for nightwear) was a wide, loosely cut pair of trousers usually with simple matching top or jacket. As beachwear, it was made in brightly coloured printed or plain fabrics. It was popularized by the rich and fashionable who holidayed on the French Riviera, and filtered down to those on the chillier piers and promenades of British resorts like Ramsgate."

What do you think? Is there a certain style you'd love to see re-emerge?
