After learning about the planet Mars in school and talking to his teacher about his belief in aliens and what Mars is all about, Fat starts to create a fun game out of it. At the beginning of the episode Fat and his friend hop on their bikes, carry their fake guns, and wear antennas on their heads to pretend they are going to catch aliens from Mars. So they bike around town, scaring all the other town residents to play this fun game.

As a result, the adults of the town aren’t too pleased.  However, Fat continues this search throughout the episode.

Despite the issues that surround Fat and his brother Hub, such as their mother being in the hospital, a friend’s wedding, and a friend leaving town, they always seem to make the most out of the worst/busiest times.  Fat builds a spaceship for the trip to Mars and is trying to make it fly in dangerous ways, although it never seems to happen.

But somehow he still has this crazy notion about Mars. So with a friend and his teacher, Fat takes a large telescope to see where Mars is really located and what it looks like. Fat is amazed by what his teacher tells him about Mars.

By the end of the episode Fat still will not give up his his crazy theories about Mars.
