As the days grow shorter and the air cools, we can look forward to the coming holiday season. The people of Avonlea and New Bedford celebrate autumn with fall fairs, festivals, and parties, and Thanksgiving celebrations are part of autumn’s holiday fun. Thanksgiving is held in early October in Canada, but in the USA Thanksgiving falls every year on the fourth Thursday of the month of November.

Road to Avonlea features some spectacular winter scenes that remind us of the beauty and joy!

Avonlea Slang

The stories from Avonlea are smart, funny, and heartwarming. But sometimes, the townspeople’s conversations are peppered with terms that seem foreign and strange to the 21st century audience.
