On Wednesday February 18th 2009 at 5:00pm EST, Director, Writer and Producer Kevin Sullivan hosted a LIVE chat right here on anneofgreengables.com. Sullivan Entertainment would like to thank everyone who participated in this event. We had a great turnout and are planning more live interviews and video feeds in the future.

EMILY OF NEW MOON is as good as ANNE OF GREEN GABLES, Kevin. But the TV-adaptation was unfairly inadequate. Please reconsider and make EMILY a TV-series! Because nobody could pull it off but you! Believe me, EMILY is more than a book that was written for the purpose of selling something to make money. It has spunk and spirit just as ANNE. The bad thing about the TV-series that we got so far is, that every single episode has to do with the supernatural. And that is terrible because that is nothing like what the stories were about. Please again, Kevin - reconsider!

I have read the series of anne books many times over, and have owned your wonderful movies (starring Megan Follows) for many years. I have always wondered why you have not adapted 'Anne's House Of Dreams' as well. I, and many others are enraptured when reading of Anne and Gilbert's marriage in this book followed by a breathtaking, romantic, and adventurous life in Four Winds Harbor. The maritime history and rich characters one is introduced to would make an OUTSTANDING addition to your films as it is one of L.M. Montgomery's best pieces of work!!

I'm 65 years old and a loyal fan from childhood when my mother read the stories to me. Thank you so much for all you've done!!! If only I'd had daughters (I've 2 sons) to share "Anne" with me, and it doesn't look like I'll have granddaughters, either. Thank heavens you're keeping the clean, inspirational stories of the past alive for this generation so that they can take a break for all the trash that's permeating their lives these past several decades. I'm certain you are a true God-send! Thank you so much.

Are you thiking about adding "closed caption" to your Dvd/BlueRay offerings? I love everything put out by Sullivan Entertainment. It's quality and wholesome. Are there any other great period series coming in the future?

Just making one correction. I meant to say "Chapter titles" to chose from and not having to start the disc all over again from the beginning if we chose to stop in the middle of something. Many thanks.

I'm sorry I missed the chat with Kevin. I'm a mega fan of Anne of Green Gables, both the book and the DVD series. I hope there will be a Blu-Ray version of Anne. We purchased the first Anne DVD from Target and loved it. Then we purchased the second DVD and there were NO menus to use which drove us nutcake, so we returned that disc and have been afraid to purchase further DVDs of Anne. I wish there were some way to KNOW if the discs we are buying next time do have menus. Many thanks!

Hollo. I don't know English well because I am Korean.. : ) I think we will know Korea..I am 15 years old like Anne. Anne series are very interesting. I want meet you, and I want talking about Anne . when I grow up, I wil go canada to see you !! In Korea , in channel EBS have televised Anne 1, 2. next week is 3 !! Anne Shirley was my very first role model. I remember watching the specials every year when they came on tv. As I grew up, I bought the video tapes and watched them so much that I wore them out and had to buy the tapes again, then finally moved up to the dvd's. I have since loaned some of the dvd's out and have lost track of them, and so I find myself for the fourth time having to replace my Anne of Green Gables movies. My question is, why are the newest dvd's not subtitled? As I am mildly hearing impared, and desperately in love with Anne, and all the characters, I do not want to miss a single word or insight. XOK

hiiv seen all the anne of green gables dvds but why is road to avonlea so jerky as actors move if your spending money making it why sell it to look like something on you tube

As I grew up with the Anne movies (I first watched Anne of Green Gables and the Sequel when I was 9 or 10 in the late 1980s), I really enjoyed watching the recording of this live chat. I'm sure I'm one of those fans that emailed or posted something about Anne of Green Gables: The Continuing Story, even before I'd watched it on video way back in 1999(I don't think it's ever been shown on British TV). I'm looking forward to watching Anne of Green Gables: A New Beginning, the rest of Road to Avonlea (perhaps in HD format), and Wind at my Back. It's fascinating to hear about the creative processes that go into these projects. I look forward to the next live chat!
