Ingredients

2 cups, all purpose flour

1 tsp, baking powder

1 tsp, baking soda

1/2 tsp, salt

2 tbsp, margarine

1 cup,buttermilk

1/2 cup, raisins or cranberries

Instructions

Combine flour, baking soda, salt, baking powder, and raisins (or cranberries) in a bowl.

Rub margarine into mixture (suggested you use your fingers to mix).

Add buttermilk and stir with a fork until dough is soft.

Turn out on to a floured board, and knead lightly.

Shape into a ball and flatten slightly.

Make a cross on top of dough with a sharp knife.

Bake at 400F for 15 minutes and then reduce heat to 350F and bake for 30 more minutes.
